“When you meet a weary soul today, lend them the joy God planted in you.” — Kene Emmanuel
Every day, we cross paths with people carrying unseen burdens. Some are exhausted by life’s demands, others are quietly battling fear, grief, or disappointment. Not everyone has the strength to speak about what weighs on their heart, but weariness has a way of showing itself in tired eyes, forced smiles, or silence.
God places joy in us not as something to be guarded selfishly, but as a gift meant to be shared. This joy does not always come from perfect circumstances; it comes from faith, hope, and the assurance that God is present even in difficult seasons. When we choose kindness, patience, and compassion, we allow that God-given joy to flow through us to others.
Lending joy does not require grand gestures. Sometimes it is a smile, a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a simple act of love. These small moments can become answers to prayers we never heard spoken aloud.
Today, be intentional. Pay attention to the people around you. If you meet a weary soul, offer them the joy God has planted in you. In doing so, you may lift a heavy heart and be reminded that joy grows when it is shared.
