This particular chapter of Deuteronomy is broadly on the virtue of ‘Obedience’. However, it is divided into 2 aspects viz. Blessings of obedience and Curses on disobedience. The blessings are placed before the curses to remind us that God is slow to anger and swift in mercy. It is His delight to bless His children always. All that God destined for you will come in search of you. You will never have to search for it. It will come to your children. It will come to your home. You shall have plenty.
SCRIPTURE to LIFE
Are you anxious about your children and your family members? Do not worry. You will have an increase. The Bible says, you and your children shall increase. God’s abundant prosperity is poured upon you. You and your children will have the best blessing. Open your heart to Him. All you have to do is ‘obey’ His Words. The obedience that God wants from you should be out of filial hope of God’s favor and not out of servile fear of His wrath.

Loving Lord, Your word says that I will have abundant prosperity. Father let your blessings come in search of me and my family. Crush Satan who brings curses upon my family under Your feet. May I always be faithful in obeying Your commands.
