21 And Yahweh was going before them by day in a column of cloud to lead them on the way and by night in a column of fire to give light to them to go by day and night. 22 The column of cloud by day and the column of fire by night did not depart from before the people. Exodus 13:21- 22 

Exodus tells an epic, supernatural story about a God who shows up in some out-of-this-world ways!  One awe-inspiring way God was present for the Israelites was through a pillar of cloud and fire. The Israelites were on an arduous trek through the desert towards the promised land. 

They were not equipped for the hardships of the terrain but God made a way for them. He went ahead of them as their guide as a pillar of fire and a cloud. He provided supernatural nourishment for them and direction. 

You may feel lost and alone, on a journey that you are unprepared for, but remember God goes before you.
