Life has a quiet way of teaching us powerful truths through the simplest things around us. Recently, I (KeneEmma) looked at a mango tree and noticed something interesting: two fruits growing side by side one ripe, glowing with color, and the other still green and firm. Same tree. Same branch. Same sunlight. Yet, different timing.
It reminded me of a truth the Bible teaches again and again: everything has its appointed season.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Just like those two mangoes, we often share the same environment with others same age group, same workplace, same church, same community yet their “fruit” seems to ripen before ours. Someone gets the promotion earlier. Someone gets married sooner. Someone’s business takes off while ours is still taking shape.
But the ripe mango doesn’t mock the unripe one, and the green mango isn’t a failure. They are simply in different stages of becoming.
God develops each destiny at a pace that matches His perfect plan.
So if you’re still “ripening,” don’t rush. Don’t compare. Don’t feel forgotten. The same God who brought the first fruit to maturity is working on you, too quietly, intentionally, and beautifully.
When your season comes, no delay can stop it.
When your fruit is ready, no storm can spoil it.
And when God says “now,” nothing can say “wait.”
Stay rooted. Stay faithful. Stay expectant.
Your season is coming and it will be worth the wait.
