Today's Message - AGENT OF TRANSFORMATION

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?
14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of  the living God.”
17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are youSimon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
1And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
20  Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
Matthew 16:13-20.

In the Bible transformation means “change or renewal from a life that no longer conforms to the ways of the world to one that pleases God” (Romans 12:2). This is accomplished by the renewing of our minds, an inward spiritual transformation that will manifest itself in outward actions. The Bible presents the transformed life in Christ as demonstrated through our “bearing fruit in every good work [and] growing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). Transformation involves those who were once far from God being “drawn near” to Him through the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

To become an agent of transformation
  1. You need to have a revelation - And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.  Mathew 16:17. The Lord desires to speak daily revelations into your heart through the Holy Spirit. A revelation is when God reveals something to you that you did not understand before. A revelation is when God’s words become your reality. He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD. The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever. Do not be called teachers; for one is your Teacher, the Christ.
  2. You must demonstrate the revelation giving to you -  For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.  Acts 17:1, I Corinthians 2:14 1 Corinthians 4:20
  3. After Demonstrating you will be elevated - 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19
