All those who take the Lord as their Shepherd as declared in the first verse of this Psalm, shall surely receive His goodness and mercy every day. But do we really experience such a blessed life in our daily living? Do we really have good fellowship and intimate communion with the Lord?
The Bible says, “Test all things, hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Accordingly, read the Bible faithfully. Meditate on it and grow in the knowledge of God and be filled with the goodness and mercy of the Lord everyday (1 Peter 2:1-3).
SCRIPTURE to LIFE
Let us not just stop reading with this passage; let us also commit our ways to follow them and receive His goodness and mercy all the days of our life. The sorrows, the strenuous journeying and the rest, the temporary repose and the frequent struggles, will be put to an end. God will provide for you by setting a table in the wilderness. With God nothing is impossible, as He calls into existence that which do not (Romans 4:17). As you place your trust in the Lord, He will bestow His benefits on you. You will walk in the path of righteousness and by His strength will be strengthened in great dangers. By the great mercy that God shows towards His children, you will come to know His favor on your life. Just like King David, was persuaded of the continuance of God’s favor towards him; as he enjoyed the divine protection.
Prayer:
Loving Father! Draw me closer to You so that I could live an abundant and satisfied life. Transform all my troubles, problems and sorrows into blessings. Fill me with Your divine grace and goodness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
